This hand dyed tie dye item is a one of a kind work of art. It would make a perfect to yourself or for a loved one.

Premium blank tapestry from Grateful Dyes (located in Colorado), 100% Cotton. Hand tied and dyed by myself in Twin Falls, Idaho.

50" X 50" (before washing). All edges stitched. For hanging, I suggest command strips or small tacks.

Items are pre-washed to remove optical brighteners, sizing, etc. They are then soaked in a solution of soda ash and water to raise the pH to a level where the dye can do its magic.

They are then folded, pleated, etc in the desired pattern and tied/bound with rubber bands, twine and/or artificial sinew before the dyeing stage.

This was done using a modified form of the hot water irrigation technique..

All dyes are high quality Procion fiber reactive dyes applied using squirt bottles and/or marinade syringes. These dyes chemically bond with the fabric, ensuring vivid, long lasting color. These dyes are very safe and non toxic.
